Mission Statement:

The mission of the Bloomington Normal Tennis Association (BNTA), a non-profit organization, is to foster and promote interest in tennis at all levels in the Bloomington Normal area.

Hierarchy of Tennis Organizations:

  • Our BNTA is a member of the MITA (Middle Illinois Tennis Association).
  • The MITA includes Peoria, Springfield, Decatur, Champaign/Urbana, Danville, Galesburg, Quincy and other middle Ill tennis associations).
  • MITA is a member of the Midwest Section (Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin).
  • The Midwest Section is part of the USTA (United States Tennis Association) .

Not for profit status:

BNTA is affiliated with the Illinois Prairie Community Foundation (IPCF). This affiliation allows BNTA to obtain not-for-profit status. IPCF represents several not-for-profit organizations within Central Illinois. Any donations to BNTA should be made directly to IPCF with notation that funds are to be used by BNTA.
